Paul has repeatedly emphasized that his goal is to become world champion, and that wish may soon come true.

Jake Paul is returning to the ring later this month. The YouTuber-turned-boxer will face former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, on June 28.

It's the latest step in Paul's boxing career, having last fought in November, when he defeated boxing legend Mike Tyson in a controversial bout, considering "Iron Mike" was 58 at the time and hadn't fought professionally in nearly two decades.

Chavez Jr. is expected to provide a bigger challenge, although the Mexican boxer has never quite recovered from the level he was at when he held the world title from 2011-12. However, he does enter this bout on the back of two consecutive wins.

Paul has repeatedly stated that his goal is to become a world champion, and that dream may soon come true, as an undefeated world champion has offered him the opportunity.

Jai Opetaia: If Jake Paul wants a fight with me, let him come

Jai Opetaia, the current IBF cruiserweight champion, defends his belt this weekend in Australia against Claudio Sque.

Opetaia is ready to fight Paul and told Fox Sports Australia that he would "beat him up" if they met in the ring:

- If Jake Paul wants a fight with me, let him come. I will totally beat him on my way to the absolute title. But we know he's smarter than that.

- These guys don't want to fight to be the best fighters in the world, but because they want to be the most famous. And those are two completely different things.

It is also speculated that Paul could enter the ring with another current world champion – WBA lightweight champion Gervont Davis, in a catchweight match later this year.
