Former NBA star Oliver Miller passes away at 55

After a serious illness, Oliver Miller, a former NBA player who played for six different NBA teams during his career, has died at the age of 55. Miller was one of the most famous and toughest basketball players in NBA history, and his amazing physical strength and size left an indelible mark on the court. He was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the 22nd pick in the 1992 draft, and that was the beginning of his rich, although turbulent, career in the most famous basketball league in the world.

In his first NBA season, this great players had the opportunity to play in the finals, where Phoenix was defeated by the legendary Chicago Bulls, led by Michael Jordan. Although the Phoenix team lost in that grand final, Miller showed his abilities, and his future in the league was promising. 

After his early years in Phoenix, he played for several other NBA teams, including the Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings and Minnesota Timberwolves, where he finished his NBA career in 2003 and 2004.

Oliver's career

In addition to playing in the NBA, Oliver Miller also had the opportunity to play abroad, playing in Poland, Puerto Rico and China, where he continued to build his basketball career. His NBA averages included 7.4 points per game, 5.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 blocks, which is a testament to his many skills on the court. 

Although he was known for his physical strength and overweight, Miller was able to use his height (206 cm) and weight (over 130 kilograms) to dominate under the hoop.

Oliver will be remembered as one of the most unusual and special players in NBA history.
