The Rock is known as an important figure in the world of wrestling. Many wrestlers, growing up and building their careers, looked up to The Rock, wanting to be as impressive as him.

Drew McIntyre, one of the biggest wrestling stars, guesting on Kenny McIntosh of Inside The Ropes, decided to share the emotions of The Rock, stressing that Dwayne Johnson was a huge supporter of him.

“Yeah, and that’s never lost on me. He’s always been a supporter of mine from my first run. I remember seeing his ex, Mrs Dany Garcia that he works with at such a high level, and she’d said such positive words when I was about 22-23 years old on a plane about how highly they thought of me, which was very cool."- he said, as quoted by Pwmania.

McIntyre and CM Punk

Drew is proud that The Rock had words of praise for him, back in 2017. Hearing such comments certainly gives you additional motivation and desire for success. The Rock has always been a person who knew how to recognize talents and stars, countless times so far.

CM Punk had a verbal fight with Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre. Punk was direct at the time, telling McIntyre: “Chosen one? Who chose you? Who? What was his name, huh."

McIntyre later said that a lot of things were going through his head, but he remained a professional when it was most needed.

“What’s going through my mind is: ‘The same person that fired you on your wedding day.’ But I’m a professional. I think by that point, people started seeing what I was capable of on the microphone like it was a new thing. If you watched my stuff outside of WWE, you know when I’m comfortable and the reins are taken off me. I don’t care who it is, I can go toe to toe with anyone. Even Punk.
