In a shocking turn of events for the Miami Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa, who is at the center of the team’s quarterbacks, was forced out of the game against the Buffalo Bills in game 3 due to another major head trauma. Tagovailoa has suffered more than one head injury this season, and any return is questionable.

Consequently, the team is making important moves to strengthen the quarterback position. As per a distanced NFL report from Tom Pelissero and Namath Chao, the Dolphins have quickly picked former Raven Tyler Huntley, a Quarterback on the Practice squad.

This signing is oriented towards giving much-needed cover as the Dolphins are looking at possibly a long spell without the services of their key quarterback. “The Dolphins are signing former Pro Bowl QB Snoop Huntley off the #Ravens practice squad, per sources.

As Tua Tagovailoa remains in concussion protocol, Sunday starting is expected for Skylar Thompson at Seattle, and in the weeks ahead, Huntley is also likely to be a part of this picture,” Pelissero mentioned on X.

Dolphins QB Depth

Pelissero revealed more of the Dolphins' current quarterbacks by saying, “The #Dolphins now have two healthy QBs on the 53-man roster: The 2021 draft Mr.

Skylar Thompson and Snoop Huntley, who in 2022 filled in for the injured Lamar Jackson and even received a Pro Snub, most recently in camp with Cleveland. Tim Boyle is on the Miami Dolphins' practice squad”. Huntley was on the Baltimore Ravens' practice crew, but he has considerable playing time in the NFL.

In his four active years in the league, he has been the starting quarterback in nine games. Jackson’s backup during the regular season, he performed well off the bench and was voted to the Pro Bowl in 2022. As long as Tagovailoa is unavailable, Skylar Thompson seems to be the Dolphins' most-suited quarterback.

Still, Thompson’s injury is mended by the fact that Huntley is present and has been quite effective in the past. The only question that will remain is how well the Dolphins can cope with Tagovailoa's absence. How this tinkering of their quarterback depths will affect their upcoming contests remains a matter of interest.

The next few weeks will prove critical for Miami because they must overcome this difficult stretch without their star quarterback.
