Chase Elliott, the 29-year-old NASCAR driver is ready to do great things this year. His performance at the NASCAR Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium is the best indication of how ambitious this 29-year-old is. After his victory, fans turned their attention to the NASCAR Clash, asking questions: Can it take place on the global stage?
Bowman Gray Stadium has a long history, once home to NASCAR, but university football games were also played here.
The Hendrick Motorsport driver had an impressive performance, causing excitement among NASCAR fans.
In an interview with the media, Elliott addressed the rumors about holding this event on the international scene. The 29-year-old believes that it would be a great thing to go outside the US and offer others the excitement that NASCAR brings. Considering the trends in sports in recent years, moving this event to another part of the planet seems like a very realistic option.
"I kind of like the thought of potentially getting outside of the United States. I know we're kind of testing the waters a little bit with the Mexico City race this year, but I think the real test would be going overseas. And I think this race would be a good opportunity to do something like that that wouldn't be, you know, committing to a points race somewhere that's a long ways away."- Elliott said, as quoted by The Charlotte Observer.
Chase Elliott explains his views
Chase went on to explain that he’s not making any firm decisions at this point, but everything is a possibility. He would be open to any outcome, whether it’s having the race in its current location, Daytona, or even in Europe. This great driver also expressed that if they decide not to hold it at all, he would be fine with that as well.
The question is: Can we really watch NASCAR Clash outside the US and will it arouse the interest of the audience?
