Brian Callahan Criticizes Will Levis for Reckless Turnover

The Tennessee Titans seems to have an unpleasant problem regarding quarterback Will Levis. This does not concern how well he can go about running an offense, that one, he can do up to a certain level. The issue however is that he has an unholy penchant for looking for plays that are not there, and inviting turnovers that should be avoided.

It was during the game, Sunday to be particular against New York jets, that Levis cost the team again. It was the second quarter in the red zone, he was sacked but attempted a shovel pass and fumbled costing the titans points which they badly needed.

This is starting to become a trend as errors invoking Levis’ pass executed while paying under duress has given rise to avoidable errors.

Callahan’s Frustration Grows

To Titans head coach Brian Callahan, this is not a joke.

There are those who find some things that Levis does or does not do funny; this is not the case with Callahan, who has had it to the bone. In fact, just a week ago, Callahan ripped Levis for throwing a pick-six that lost the Titans the game against the Bears.

First, he fumbles, then I am caught in the camera once again using very bad language simply expressed in a family setting, all in the absence of the family. After the game, when the press asked him about Levis’s fumble, Callahan went hot.

Two questions later, he repeated himself, direct and frustrated with his quarterback, and told him that he was crazy. “One time or another, this can’t continue occurring,” Callahan was heard responding after Levis repeated the same negligence over and over.

Levis’s head coach seems to be practicing tough love by trying to get Levis to make better choices; however, this tactic risks working in reverse. Quarterbacks in their youth, more so with the headlines of the likes seen in the NFL, do not take kindly to comments that are negative from their coaches.

They require validation and encouragement from them, which raises the question of whether Levis will be able to handle such pressure.
