The Denver Broncos played a great match and managed to defeat the Cleveland Browns 41:32 (7:7, 14:10, 10:8, 10:7) in the match of the 13th week of the NFL Championship. The home team in Colorado reached a score of 8-5, while the balance of the guests from Ohio was negative, 3-9. Defeated quarterback Jameis Winston was the man of the decision, but certainly not in the way he would have liked to be.

Although he set a franchise record with 497 yards and four touchdown passes, the 30-year-old quarterback threw 171 yards in vain, and two of his mistakes were turned into touchdowns by the opposing team.

In an interview with the media, he pointed out that he must improve his game in the future, stressing that he is a player who can do much more than what he showed in the last match. Jameis Winston wants these things to become a part of his past, as he wants to progress and show the true version of himself in the future.

"It was my mistake, I have to play better. I know I'm better than this, I just ask God to save me from mistakes like this. This is not me - I played a phenomenal offense, made some great moves, but I messed up", said the great quarterback.

Bo Nix, a 24-year-old from the opposing team had an interesting statement, which probably provoked the Browns. The young quarterback can't believe what happened in their match, happy because the opposing team made such cardinal mistakes.

"The fact that they did it twice is a little crazy. I'm sitting here, we have heaters on the benches... I don't even have to move. It's nice for the offense when they (opponents) 'draw us out' like this," said the 24-year-old Denver quarterback in a joking tone.

The total of passing yards and interceptions in Winston's statistics is a record in the history of the NFL championship.

Sean Payton, the coach of the winning team, despite the fact that they celebrated, believes that some things could have looked different. In an interview with the media, he stressed that watching the taps, he wasn't satisfied with certain things, considering that things could have been done differently. Payton addressed the interceptions, criticizing the players that they need to do better. This time they were lucky, as things could have looked much worse for them.

"Obviously, when we go back and look at that tape, we are going to look at a lot of things defensively that we would have done differently," Payton said.

"We have it. We had two interceptions for touchdowns and a third interception. I told them in the locker room that it wasn't pretty, and yet in the end, we did what we had to do, especially late."

Kevin Stefanski reacts

Kevin Stefanski, the coach of the defeated team, pointed out in an interview with the media that there is no specific update regarding injuries. Watching the footage, the popular coach is disappointed in the direction the game went. He expected much more from his team. Stefanski believes that his team must get back on track.

"Okay, no real updates guys, from any injury stuff. I'll let you know if anything changes tomorrow. Obviously, you watch the tape and just like last night, you're very, very disappointed that you can't finish that game and come out of there with a win. I thought obviously a lot going on in that game, back and forth throughout the night, but got to find a way to finish. That's the very disappointing part for me and for the football team. Having said that, short week, AFC North opponent, Pittsburgh Steelers, so we got to get back to work. With that, I'll take any questions."- he said.

Of course, Winston's performance was also a topic of discussion. He stressed that this player has been phenomenal in recent games, but he didn't want to be too critical of him, aware that no player can play perfectly every game. Kevin is someone who firmly believes that Winston wants to give his best, but sometimes things don't go as you plan.

“Well, we threw the ball a lot, so there were a lot of opportunities and obviously extremely productive in the past game with a ton of yards. Certainly, he wants to take care of the football in those moments. You’re not going to play perfect at the quarterback position, he knows that, I know that. Ultimately, he wants to do anything in his power to help this team win, and that’s going to be taking care of the ball. But he also had moments there where he was moving that offense and did a nice job.”- he concluded.
