Alyssa Nakken, a well-known name to MLB fans, is leaving the San Francisco Giants, and will have an interesting role in the future. The 34-year-old will now become part of the Cleveland Guardians, with a role in player development. The Guardians haven't yet announced on social media about such information, but judging by the rumors, it could happen in the coming days.

The 34-year-old came to MLB as a huge surprise, with ambitions and the desire to write a great story. It's interesting that two and a half years ago she came to MLB as the first female coach. However, Nakken now has other ambitions, and her former team, the San Francisco Giants, thanked Nakken for her contribution via social media.

In addition, they're happy that she managed to pave the way for other women in MLB. The leadership of this team is impressed by her dedication, passion, and desire to make the team as good as possible. In addition, they pointed out that the 34-year-old has the potential to do even greater things in the future.

"We thank Alyssa Nakken for her incredible contributions to the San Francisco Giants and for trailblazing a path for women in sports," the Giants wrote.

"Her leadership, dedication and passion for the game have inspired countless individuals, and her impact has been truly transformative for the Giants organization and the baseball community. As she embarks on this exciting new chapter in her career, we have no doubt that she'll continue to inspire and achieve great things. We wish her and her family nothing but the best."

Alyssa nearly secured the Giants' managerial position in 2023. It'll be interesting to see how the 34-year-old will handle the new role.

She'll now work with former Giants coaches, primarily Albernaz and Correa. Via text message, Correa had only words of praise for her, considering her a systematic executor of processes and a thoughtful communicator. He has only words of praise for her skills, considering that she will be a great fit for the team. Correa is looking forward to the future and the fact that they'll have the chance to work together again. Behind them are great experiences and great moments, and Cleveland can hope for great things from both of them.

Alyssa Nakken has a deep passion for baseball since she was a child. In 2014, she joined the San Francisco Giants' baseball operations department as an intern. The following year she earned a master's degree in sports management. In 2020 she became a full-time female coach in MLB.

Nakken is a woman who has shown others that if you dream and want something enough, there are no obstacles for you. Alyssa has opened the eyes of other women who want to try their hand at the world of MLB, confirming there is a chance for it. It's necessary to be persistent, strive to become part of the story, and after that many things will fall into place. We'll see what the limits are for Nakken, but it's to be expected that she will progress from year to year and that we'll potentially see her in the role of manager, which would once again confirm that women do have a place in sports.

Alyssa Nakken's interview in 2022

In a media interview two years ago, after becoming a first base coach, Naken said there are many opportunities for women in baseball, but that the greatest problem is that people limit themselves to what they can actually achieve. Nakken was honest, admitting that she didn't think she could really achieve such success in her career, but she opened the eyes of other women that opportunities exist for everyone. This great MLB coach stressed that even then, many realized that opportunities were open to everyone, highlighting that she was ready to make a success.

“Everybody can just see that there are a lot of opportunities in baseball,” Nakken said.

“Sometimes I think we always limit ourselves to thinking what we could do. At least that’s my experience. I never thought that I could do something like this because I never saw it. So I think, sure, it’s certainly important for people to be able to see that this is an opportunity and they can see somebody that kind of looks like them going out there and coaching in the big leagues.”

Nakken has already produced positive reactions from MLB fans, who have also emphasized that women have a place in MLB. Nakken has shown in the last two years that she knows how to do her job, has made a lot of progress, and we have no doubt that Alyssa will be equally successful in the next step in her career.
